We stayed for the night at Yume Nomad Hostel in Kobe and we left this drawing in one of their sketchpads in the guest area.
We had fun in Kobe, but one day was not enough to do all the things we wanted to do. During our first night we had Kobe Beef which was the best steak we had so far. We also walked along China town where we saw duck wraps for 500Yen, we did not get to taste it as we were still full and satisfied from the Kobe Beef Steak we had.
During our one day in Kobe, we did the following:
- Visited the Atam Arima toys & automaton museum
- Walked along the Arima onsen area and visited two hot spring sources
- took the rope way across the mountain to Mt. Rokko
- visited the International Musical Box Museum
- viewed Kobe at night from Mt. Rokko
From our visit to Kobe, We bought two musical boxes one that played 'When you wish upon a star' and 'Bach's Minuet in G'. From the toy museum I got a tin pull-back car which was made in Osaka Tin Toy Institute.
I did not get to sketch anything although there were many beautiful landscapes and cottages to draw. There was just not enough time.
