We gathered at Tboli park where we will be taken to jump-off point, while waiting i sketched the big trees with roots growing above ground. i did not have time to sketch more so i just did the outlines.
Our first stop was at sitio kule where we gave kids school supplies and slippers and they gave us their tribal dance and lots and lots of food! i posted pictures and videos at my instagram account.
i fell in-love at Tboli last weekend and here are the sketches to prove it.
The trek lasted 6 hours with the most difficult trail i have ever encountered, we went up and down three big hills. good thing we had a big lunch. when we got there, all the hardship and leg scars i got from thorny plants was all worth it.
on our trek back from the lake to sitio salacafe, we passed by sitio nabul where we were welcomed by native coffee, bananas and beautiful smiles.
on our way home, i sketched mt. matutum from the bus en-route to general santos city from marbel.
