Beach, Island and Sea sketches

When you are in the Philippines, you have beautiful islands and beaches everywhere!


Sketching the group of islands at Estancia Bay after breakfast at Paon Beach Resort. It was a little gloomy and raining a little. You cannot here it from this picture, but the relaxing scene was ruined by 'Let it Go' Reggae version playing from a distance.

Later that day, we arrived at isla de gigantes and had time to catch the sunset after we had some batchoy

The next day, we went Island Hopping and sketched this in one island before going towards the island in the sketch.

Last Sunday we went to the mini park just 5 mins away from our apartment. We had beed waiting for this tree to turn all yellow this autumn but it did not. It is now winter and it's time has come. It was not a cold Sunday and I had the opportunity to just wear my slippers out and so I did.

The Islets of Bucas Grande

when i started sketching the islets, i thought i was using a pencil but soon realized i was using charcoal on paper. These islets are what you see when you hang around the cove where the crystal cave and tundan cave are at. on our way to kanlanuk falls from the mangrove area i sketched our pumpboat and the last mangrove tree we saw before leaving for more islets and hillsides fronting the water on the pump boat i had a realization and had to write it down before i forget it. by the time i was done we were greeted by the hills of kanlanuk bay, lined with mango trees and other fruit bearing trees.
