Japaonica Lodge is at Asakusa Tokyo Japan and right beside the Asakusa Bridge. It is an interesting lodge, we slept in tents inside the lodge, by day the tent sleeping area is a display section of an outdoor shop.

At Sonomata Castle, there is a beautiful  fountain with a dragon statue. I will find another day to sketch Sonomata Castle, it has to be from further away with the sakura trees on the foreground.

This is a quick sketch of Inuyama Castle before it closed last weekend. I will probably do another Castle sketch in the future but further away where the river can be seen.

En-route to Nagoya from Tokyo our bus stopped over for a break and we caught Mt Fuji beneath a clear sky at dusk. I managed to do a quick sketch with my new Traveler's Notebook.

I sketched this last december when we were enjoying the Manjuyod sandbar after an awesome dolphine watching adventure. Since it is now spring here in Japan and summer in the Philippines and I am missing the Philippine seas so much, this is a fitting bitter sweet post.

More details on this bridge soon. Went for a walk last sunday to this old bridge, 40minutes away from our house.

Our last weekend's trip to Nagano to see the snow monkeys did not push through so we found an alternative place to visit, We went to Shirotori Garden in Nagoya, it is a garden in the middle of the city. The beautiful garden would look great in snow so we plan to go back there on a snow day.
